NOSTRA Seminar on capitalisation of INTERREG cross-strait project Seminar n°2 in Bonifacio: from 3 to 6th June 2014

During three days, all the partners gathered in Bonifacio for the second seminar of NOSTRA project, hosted by the Corsican Environment Office. 2014 is the final year of the project, dedicated to “Think and act”; therefore, the objective was to start working on the implementation plan of each strait and to discuss about European funds opportunities for the future projects. It was an opportunity for the partners to come back on the good practices guide and to exchange more in detail to know more about the good practices they would like to implement in their own strait.

Besides, several presentations have been made on the theme of biodiversity and natural environment in the Strait of Bonifacio, with a specific focus on the European projects (INTERREG, Life etc.) that participated in a better knowledge and management of the strait’s biodiversity. In order to give an example of the use of several European funds within one project, a presentation of the Grand Site des Deux Caps (Two Caps Heritage Site) has been made by Pas-de-Calais County Council. Pas-de-Calais County Council also presented the cluster Prime-C (financed by ERDF through INTERREG IVA 2 Seas programme), which includes NOSTRA project among other projects targeting Risk management and Engagement on the Coast. Finally, the Danube Delta National Institute (DDNI) made a presentation of the INTERREG IVC project Deltanet, which gave some highlights and recommendations concerning the benefits of such a project for the partners.

To know more about the context of the Strait of Bonifacio, managed by a European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation, you can download the statutes and the convention of the EGTC-PMIBB and the presentations that have been made during the seminar:
