On 4th December, NOSTRA partners gathered in Trapani, on the Strait of Sicily, for a final meeting. Following the final conference of the project, this meeting was an opportunity for the partners to start thinking about the future of their cooperation and the sutainablity of the work undertaken within NOSTRA project. This work will soon be available with a publication of the summaries of the implementation plans of each partner and of a perspective paper on the possible follow-up of NOSTRA project.
This final meeting was also a good opportunity for the partners to learn more about the Province of Trapani's implementation plan and about the future of cross-border cooperation in the Strait of Sicily. In particular, the Italian senator Antonino D'ALI (current president of the Environment Commission of the Senate and member of the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediteranean) insisted on the importance of trade and protection of the environment in the Mediteranean Sea in the coming years.
