Call for Tender - Completion of Seascapes Character Assessment for the Dover Strait

Completion of Seascapes Character Assessment for the Dover Strait

NOSTRA would like to present the opportunity for consultants to tender for this work. An initial pilot study was carried out for the project by LUC in 2012/13 and this will form the starting point for the work, however, please be assured that our evaluation process will be robust and transparent. Each tender received will be treated in the same way.

The commissioning of this work is being managed by Kent County Council (KCC) and the attached Invitation to tender contains all the information that you will require to submit your tender, but the Contract Officer is available if you have any questions. Any information imparted will be shared with the other organisations who have been contacted and any additional tenderers that come forward. The deadline for sending in your tender is Tuesday 6th May 2014 at noon, all the details of how to submit are in the attached document, the attached Anti Collusion certificate will need to be returned with your tender document.

The completion of this Seascapes Character Assessment will be a world first, as this approach, which is being utilised with Marine Planning in the UK, has not previously been completed for a strait. It is hoped that the study will represent the strait as a “cohesive unit” and form the basis of future projects which will enhance the identity of the Dover Strait in terms of its unique cultural and natural heritage.
